Autonomous Robotic Inspection and Maintenance on Ship Hulls

Reporting Period 2

[April 2021 – September 2022]

Our Second Review Meeting (RP2) took place the last week of November with the Consortium, the Project Officer and external Experts. The meeting had been performed online due to the persistence of Covid-19 travel restrictions for the Project Officer and the Experts.

The meeting lasted two consecutive days and it was chaired by the coordinator Pr. Cédric Pradalier, from Georgiatech-CNRS IRL2958. During the review meeting, the highlights of the project, advancement of the Work Packages and tasks were presented by the WP Leaders. It also included management, financial and legal tasks. The second day focused on demonstrations of the various prototypes.

Overall, the meeting went very well. The report from the Project Officer was also positive:

The work performed in the project and the achieved results are solid and show an appropriate progress of planned activities. The challenges occurred during the review period were highlighted and appropriately discussed during the review meeting. Very good expertise gathered and well exploited in the Consortium is clearly visible in pursued activities.

The Consortium looks forwards to the next and last meeting at the end of the project in March 2023.
